Newsletter 205: Capturing the Satoyama spirit

The Satoyama spirit, in which mountain villagers live in harmony with Nature, is very much alive in Taiwan. A recent symposium held in Hualien, Taiwan, gathered 14 speakers from seven countries who shared their knowledge and experiences in what is called the Satoyama Initiative.
