I’ve worked for FFTC from 2006~2013, about seven years and a half. Just before being assigned to FFTC deputy post, I worked for AVRDC deputy director general, FAO Representative to Indonesia and so forth. To be honest, I’ve never worked at such a small scale organization. However, luckily enough, I could have very wonderful opportunity to work together with a couple of excellent managers and scientists, e.g., Dr. Fu and Dr. Lee, Directors of FFTC), and Professors Su and Chen of NTU, and many excellent partners from member countries. Thanks to the sincere cooperation of those partners, we could hold nearly or more than 10 international seminars and workshops throughout Asia every year. While I was in service at FFTC, I also had the privilege of writing the Strategic Plan for 2007~2011. FFTC’s mission is continuously evolving. Hence, this FFTC Strategic Plan is still a very useful guide to renew the Center’s commitment to respond to the technological needs of small-scale farmers amid the changing global environment.
Cheers to the next 50th anniversary, “加油、頑張れ、Keep Going FFTC !!! ”
