In commemoration of FFTC’s 50th anniversary, I would like to happily greet the staff and management of FFTC congratulations. I’d also like to extend my greetings to all the people who have been a part of the Center for their dedication, keen foresight and their willingness to share themselves in the quest to help improve Asian agriculture.
Ever since FFTC was conceived, Korea, through the Rural Development Administration or RDA, has always believed in the Center’s mission—to help the small-scale farmers achieve a higher quality of life through the provision of information on agricultural technologies and policies. In fact, since the 1970s, Korean scientists and agriculturists have attended and participated in FFTC’s yearly workshops, seminars and training programs on a lot of topics and themes that have something to do with agricultural development. For many years also, FFTC’s agricultural economists come from Korea, contributing their knowledge and expertise in order to collect and analyze data that could be used for agricultural research.
Being a part of the FFTC family, the Korean Mission in Taipei will always be supportive of the Center’s activities and will remain committed to further strengthen our partnership.
I offer my best wishes for the further success of FFTC!
