FFTC- BAPHIQ-TARI-APAARI International Webinar on “Monitoring and Early Warning of Plant Pest and Disease Epidemics in Response to Climate Change”

The Food and Fertilizer Technology Center (FFTC) for the Asian and Pacific Region, Bureau of Animal and Plant Health Inspection and Quarantine (BAPHIQ) and Taiwan Agricultural Research Institute (TARI) of the Council of Agriculture, and the Asia-Pacific Association of Agricultural Research Institutions (APAARI) are collaborating in organizing the International Webinar on “Monitoring and Early Warning of Plant Pest and Disease Epidemics in Response to Climate Change,” which will be held on July 27-28, 2021. In light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the symposium will be held online via WebEx videoconference system for all speakers and participants.

FFTC has invited Dr. Ravi Khetarpal, the Executive Secretary of APAARI to be the keynote speaker. Besides the keynote session, this workshop has three other sessions with the following themes: 1) Country and Regional Report; 2) New Tools and Technologies of Monitoring, Early Warning and Prevention and Control; and 3) Panel Discussion: Future Strategy and Regional Cooperation.

We are cordially inviting policy makers, scientists, researchers, agriculturists, plant pathologists, and entomologists to join us in this webinar. To follow Taiwan government's epidemic prevention regulation according to the COVID-19 pandemic situation, the overall plan is continuously being adjusted. For more information about this event, please check the webinar webpage, or follow us on our FFTC Facebook fans page and our official website.
