International Training on Ecosystem Approach to Fisheries Management - Country Reports

Afternoon Session of the FFTC-PCAARRD-UPV International Training on Ecosystem Approach to Fisheries Management. Dr. Rudolf Karl Hermes, FAO Consultant, presented the History/overview of EAFM. This was followed by Country Reports on the status of the Fisheries industry in Cambodia, Taiwan, Thailand and the Philippines. Reporters include: 1) Mr. Chankalada Mak, Vice Chief, Aquatic Animal Disease, Health Management Division, Dept of Aquaculture Dev’t., Fisheries Administration, Cambodia; 2) Dr Sheng-Ping Wang, Professor, NTU, Taiwan; 3) Dr. Ruei Gu Chen, Fisheries Research Institute, Taiwan 4) Dr. Kriengkrai Satapornvanit, Professor, KU, Thailand; and 5) Dr. Richard N. Mualili, Director, Extension Services, MSU, Tawi-Tawi, Philippines.
